Occasionally, I like to write short stories and poems about traveling, love, and loss. Below are some of my favorites:

The Vessel

Sometimes words come to me
Like sprinkles on a child’s tongue
Gelatinous and sweet
Other times they rush through me
Like a meteor shower
And I don’t dare look away
Otherwise I’ll miss them
But always I stay open for them
Like a porous vessel
And let them flow through
And say thank you
For choosing me
